Leno Retreats into the Late Night

Jay Leno is going back to his old time slot after a failed attempt to break into prime time.

Though is rating were pretty much as expected and even better than his original late night show, they weren't what affiliates were expecting.

Affiliates fared better with traditional dramas and in depth news programming in the slot Jay occupied.

When a number of them threatened to preempt Jay NBC decided to cut bait and return to the initial programming.

This of course begs the obvious question, what about Conan?
