Beijing, Jan 27 : A mountain in China, which inspired a scene in James Cameron’s 3-D blockbuster movie Avatar has been renamed to cash in on the link.

The peak is in the Wulingyuan Scenic Zone in Hunan Province of China. The Wulingyuan Scenic Area is known for its soaring sandstone pillars and is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Zhangjiajie city government web site said that Hollywood photographer Scott Hansen spent time shooting there in 2008 for the movie. Officials claim that much of the scenery of the fictional planet of Pandora in James Cameron’s movie came from the forest park.
So, Hunan’s official web site now boasts that tourists can now join a "Magical tour to Avatar-Pandora" or a "Miracle tour to Avatar’s floating mountain."
