Kohima, Feb 23 : Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar today emphasised on maintaining road connectivity to the villages in the state. Addressing a meeting of Administrative Heads of Departments and Head of Departments of the state government here, the Governor directed the Power Department to give more effort to meet the requirements and encouraged the state government to plan and set up e-governance for better performance.
Welcoming the Governor, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said, ''Mr Kumar has vast experience in different fields and can guide us in the field of development.''
Lauding the efforts of the senior officials for the achievement of the government for the past few years the Chief Minister urged them to help and supplement each other for the benefit of the people.
The Chief Minister said the government has declared the year 2010-11 as the Year of Entrepreneurs and he urged the entrepreneurs to participate to their best of capacity. He also informed the House that the ensuing Census 2011 should be conducted fairly in order to prepare an accurate and reliable census.
Among others, Power Minister Doshehe Sema, Minister for School Education Nyiewang Konyak and Minister for Home Imkong L Imchen attended the meeting, while state Chief Secretary Lalthara chaired it.
